Taster of FREE ebook coming soon!

Soon I'll be making available 2 great ebooks "Taking Control of Your Life" and "Great Tips for Personal Development". I'm just putting the finishes touches to each of them. Take a read of the beginning of the intro for the latter book on Personal Development - I hope you enjoy it and it gives you a taste of things to come.

~ Why is it that we think we don’t have to continue our self development once we have finished our education?  Maybe it is because we equate learning and development with the educational institutions that we have spent so much time in during our early years.   Of course, we continue to develop throughout our lives, and continue to gain new skills and attributes throughout our working lives and our lives as partners, parents, grandparents, and our involvement with our communities.

Taking Control of Your Life - an intro

Here's a little excerpt from the beginning of one of my FREE ebooks soon to be available right here:

“The trouble with the rat race is that, even if you win, you're still a rat”    ~ Lily Tomlin ~

There was a time, in the not-so-distant past, when families were expected to give up everything in order to achieve the financial security they craved. Perhaps you remember those decades, perhaps you are too young to recall those times.
Those were the days when climbing the corporate ladder was a revered activity, and wives and children gazed fondly at pictures of the breadwinner in order to remember whether poor, exhausted Dad had blue eyes or brown.

Having choice

> Its a lovely morning in Altea, Spain. Little on the windy side so I'm having to hang on tight to my paper. Yes, I'm doing things partly the old fashioned way! I'm very excited about the new changes happening. My new design website is almost finished, take a look at the first draft www.nigeljardine.com
> At the moment I'm just writing ideas about choice, for the next book. I recognise each day I have choice, and that's true of life in general. At times it doesn't feel like we have choice, and yet we always do. We can choose to physically do something different, or to view something differently if we can't change the event itself. Take a moment today, especially if times are challenging, to reflect on the choices you have. Then make a clear decision about the event, remember there is always choice, and out of every decision there will be some benefits and some consequences. There always exists a polarity opposite - to have good, there must be bad. So it's to accept that when you want to make a decision, what comes up is "I can" and "I can't". So you make the decision after considering both benefits AND consequences, then go with the choice which has the most benefits. Remember, if later that day, that week or even that year, things haven't turned out the way you expected, make a new choice, from the experience you've had and move on. Even NO decision is A decision! Have a great day :-)
