Is your Brain Male or Female?

Brain - emotional intelligence

Mmm....dilemma, should I watch the final episode of Cilla on ITV, or BBC's Horizon programme: Is your Brain Male or Female? Am I in fact playing out my own reflection of these differences? Am I already unconsciously thinking and therefore showing female side, in which case should I 'flex' into my male side,  After all, according to previous theories, doesn't my driven, detached male side crave information and facts, evidence etc? In the end I drop my emotional attachment of Cilla's rise to fame, after all, I can catch up with Cilla anytime. Whether these contradictory gender differences are true is based on my own experience of the last few minutes, I'm worn out and I haven't even started watching the programme!

Seriously though, do we care? Will finding out those differences move us forward, make us happier, help us to relate, support families to stay together longer...a lifetime? I believe, it's focusing on those differences - through education and family, and building on their importance and relevance that's important.
From my early memories at school in the 'fifties' they focused entirely on I.Q...what I knew, facts, knowledge, information. That was the area that was going to make life work..... apparently, allegedly. What I now know is that we are born with two areas of Intelligence, the other being our Emotional Intelligence, or, as it is often referred to, E.I., which when balanced with our Intelligence Quotient creates the 'A' Team of Intellects and Emotional Awareness.
